Description of Phone2park iPhone App
Phone2park enables you to pay for your Wellington (or Christchurch) City Council roadside parking without the need to engage with a pay and display machine or a parking meter. In Wellington it can be used with all WCC managed parking and Christchurch it can be used at selected CCC parking areas (described on the CCC public website).

Paperless receipts and statements kept on-line
As well in Wellington parking, phone2park is also available in selected Christchurch parking areas.
Registration is easy - simply sign up at phone2park.co.nz.
You will need your contact details including an email address and car registration plate number to register. Accounts are pre-pay and can be topped up by using internet banking or a credit card. Automatic top-up from credit card is also available.
Once you have done this you can securely sign in to your account with the app using your userID (email address) and password. The next time you run the App you will not be required to sign into your account since a secure connection will have already been established.
Charges
Phone2park can be used via texting, but it is cheaper to use this free iPhone app:
Parking payment - 50 cents in Wellington (40 cents in Christchurch)
Stop and extend - 30 cents
10 cents cheaper overall than texting because there is no 20 cent charge on your mobile bill and reminders are free.

Parking Just Got Easier
To park using phone2park app, just open the app and select the required parking zone and the time required. There are signs indicating parking zones in both Wellington and Christchurch.
The App knows the time limits associated with every zone so there is no confusion.
Once you have dialed up the zone and required parking time you can select the Park Now button.
While your car is parked, simply open the app to view how much time remains.
If you return earlier than expected to your vehicle you can select stop and get a refund for any unused parking time. If youll be longer than expected you can extend your parking time (up to the maximum for the zone).
Group Accounts
Group accounts are ideal for families and businesses operating more than one vehicle. If you have a group account simply select the ID of the vehicle that you usually drive (default vehicle ID) when prompted by the app when you first sign in. The ID of your usual vehicle will be selected by default, but you can easily select other vehicles registered with your account to pay for their parking as well.
